SCIF Security Officer

Minimum Qualifications Summary

• Must possess a current US Passport with the ability to travel and work overseas.
• Must meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements as per OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction , and Air Force Manual
• Must complete an in-scope (per current DoD 6-year reinvestigation requirement), favorable ST5 investigation (including SBPR, PPR, T5R, or current enrollment in the DoD Continuous Evaluation (CE) / Continuous Vetting (CV) program), adjudicated for SCI eligibility by the DoD Central Adjudication Facility (DoD CAF) without conditions, exceptions, or waivers at the time of performance, and maintain security clearance for the contract duration.
• Must possess a TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Experience Required

• Preferred: prior experience and operational knowledge in executing all special security tasks, including physical, personnel, and information security at the SCI level.
• Preferred: prior experience with maintaining SCIF operational records and accreditation documents to ensure compliance with security directives.
• Ten years of military experience.

Job Objective

Under a five-year contract, the SCIF Security Officer will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands. The scope includes providing professional services for MARCENT located at MacDill AFB, Florida, supporting the 5th MEB (TF 51/5) based in Bahrain. The 5th MEB conducts tactical command and control within CENTCOM's AOR, including planning and executing contingencies, exercises, and Naval Integration actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide SCIF management services.
• Support the G-2 Special Security Office operationally.
• Execute all special security tasks, including physical, personnel, and information security at SCI level.
• Assist in managing SCIF operations and administration.
• Maintain SCIF operational records and accreditation documents for compliance and interpretation of security directives.
• Oversee SCI material accounting, storage, and disposition.
• Report SCI violations and security incidents; develop damage and risk assessments.
• Provide expert security support, including intelligence community security expertise and SCI security program adjudication via DISS and NBIS.

Work Location

• 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Task Force 51/5; Naval Support Activity Bahrain; Manama, Bahrain.
• Travel required: supporting government needs across multiple countries in the CENTCOM AOR, with the ability to support travel on short notice, including OCONUS locations.
