About the job Restaurant Manager - Italian Cuisine

Job brief:

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager for an Italian fine dining restaurant to lead all aspects of the business. You will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate the staff to provide excellent customer service.

Role

  1. Ensuring the restaurant service runs smoothly and follows the General Manager's direction.
  2. Guide employees to follow and respect the restaurant's standards.
  3. Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  4. Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties and tasks, following the Operational Standards.
  5. Supervise the Opening, Interval, and Closing duties for the FOH departments.
  6. Set goals for performance achievements, including training and briefing on policies.

Operations

  1. Supporting the team to understand performance, targets, and goals.
  2. Scheduling work hours and shifts.
  3. Sharing company updates, financial results, and new objectives.
  4. Assisting the management team in resolving emergencies such as quality or customer problems that might be escalated to the team.
  5. Assisting in team retention, supported by 'one-on-one' meetings and appraisals created accordingly to the position.
  6. Be involved in the hiring and firing activities.

Skills and Requirements:

  1. Proven work experience in Italian cuisine as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar role.
  2. BSc degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management.
  3. Capacity to make decisions supporting the Management team.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills with guests and all departments.
  5. Be a leader with whom employees feel open to communicating by working on interpersonal skills.
  6. Time management is a very important skill to ensure everything is done on schedule.
  7. Ability to manage conflict well, resolve issues, and develop successful relationships.
