Job Description

To lead the development and IT operations of innovative and novel card, loan, and other financial products, ensuring steady expansion and retention of our core business through proper business IT operations support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a highly resilient and scalable IT software infrastructure to support the business operations of companies that make use of services.
  • Ensure strict SLAs with each business partner.
  • Guarantee smooth running of all software systems, core applications, business applications, and IT operations.
  • Identify, document, and minimize risks.
  • Perform business requirements analysis and project management properly on any new project.
  • Adhere to secure software development and other security practices.
  • Ensure Agile methodology is followed by software development teams.
  • Achieve industry best practices in terms of compliance and disaster recovery.
Accountabilities

The role requires operational functional excellence through Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) achievement. Ensure system resilience minimizes downtime for internal and external business operations.

Supervise technical personnel, including work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and employee motivation. Stay current with new technologies and recommend implementation.

Ensure bespoke systems adhere to guidelines regarding design and security, minimizing fraud and unexpected downtime risk.

Oversee data protection as per industry compliance, including backups and disaster recovery. Enforce transparent vendor selection and procurement process.

Job-Specific Accountabilities
  • Analyze user project proposals, identify omissions, conduct feasibility studies, and develop systems/design for approved projects.
  • Serve on a project prioritization committee to ensure effective implementation pipeline.
  • Guide users in formulating requirements and advise on alternatives.
  • Oversee data centre hardware reconfiguration to minimize physical size and footprint.
  • Conduct vulnerability and threat assessments as required by industry compliance and CISO.
  • Plan and coordinate IT project analysis, design, programming, timely implementation, and testing.
  • Develop and maintain complex systems/subsystems like call centre, payroll, reporting, and financial systems.
  • Review design documentation, code quality, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Informally arbitrate between system users when conflicts arise.
  • Serve as lead analyst in a design subgroup directing analysts' work.
Requirements

This role requires:

  • MSc in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Clear understanding of IT applications development function and company's business environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple Agile teams on software development projects.
  • Relevant experience and qualifications to fulfill responsibilities.
Technical Competencies

Knowledge of and experience in:

  • .NET framework, C#, Python, Kotlin, Swift.
  • Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka.
  • Postgre SQL, Elasticsearch.
  • CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Agile/Scrum, Unit and integration testing.
