Job PurposeWorks as part of the team to complete service and troubleshooting jobs as per customer requirements as a resident engineer at TOTAL or other customer sites as applicable.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities- Assigned to the system installation, application configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Design, implement, and test a wide range of I/O, basic control functions, interlocks, sequences, operator interface, and other control components on automations.
- Handle hardware installation, instrumentation wiring, loop drawing, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all project drawings, databases, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project quality and completion of all quality documents.
- Troubleshoot difficult control and integration problems with Yokogawa systems.
- Drive projects independently under the direction of the lead engineer.
- Manage time efficiently and report time promptly and accurately as required by company policies.
- Collaborate effectively as a project team member as assigned by the Service Lead or Engineering Manager.
- Follow Yokogawa quality procedures and documentation.
- Work in both individual and team environments, may handle multiple projects and products.
- Provide customer training as required.
- Preferably graduate in Engineering – Process Control Systems / Instrumentation / Electrical & Electronics; 4–6 years in handling small to medium projects or site maintenance as resident engineer.
- Minimum 6–9 years' experience in Industrial Automation Control systems, preferably with Yokogawa DCS system Centum VP, & ESD system ProSafe-RS or other ESD (Triconnex, ICS, etc.).
- Any additional certifications like TÜV.
- Previous work experience on offshore FPSO/Terminals/Platforms is preferred.
- Good analytical skills in troubleshooting and investigating complex site issues.
- Strong problem solving and complaint resolution skills.
- Adaptability and quick learning of various products and technologies in instrumentation and control systems.
- Bilingual English and French is mandatory.
- Understanding of quality practices.
