Key Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Conduct credit assessments for corporate banking credit requests across all sectors, ensuring alignment with the risk acceptance criteria and target market standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit evaluation studies for credit transactions, ensuring inclusion of all relevant aspects, including:
  • Reviewing all necessary inquiries required to complete the credit study and ensuring they contain all needed client/bank information, and that all documents are complete.
  • Verifying the accuracy of submitted information using internal and external sources.
  • Evaluating the feasibility studies of projects to be financed from technical, financial, competitive, and market perspectives, including client agreements, and performing sensitivity analysis to assess repayment capacity.
  • Assessing and analyzing financial models of the project, including related ratios, assumptions, and cash flow statements.
  • Reviewing inputs in the Moody's system to ensure their accuracy and reliability for approval.
  • Analyzing the financial soundness and creditworthiness of clients, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and credit risks, and providing justifications and recommendations to support the credit decision.
  • Preparing and adjusting credit recommendations and terms to align with the financing structure and client needs within the bank's credit policy, Central Bank of Bahrain regulations, and international standards, and submitting to the appropriate credit committees.
  • Analyze all types of risks through:
  • Reviewing the financial and credit position of clients, project cash generation capacity, sector trends, and financing purpose.
  • Recommending alternative risk mitigation strategies to protect the bank's interests.
  • Recommending appropriate financing structures, repayment schedules, and risk-limiting conditions.
  • Carrying out any tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Practical knowledge of financial and credit analysis, economic feasibility studies, and cash flow assessments.
  • Practical knowledge of economic indicators and trends.
  • Practical knowledge of corporate legal aspects.
  • Practical knowledge of the Bahraini banking market and various economic sectors.
  • Practical knowledge of the credit policy, bank regulations, and regulatory authority guidelines.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-7 years of experience
  • English language proficiency (writing and speaking) – Level 3 (Advanced).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nationality: - Bahraini or expat working in the Bahraini banking sector
