IT System

Operates, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs computer based, fiber networks; repairs and
maintains equipment in emergency and preventative situations.
- Setting up servers, configuring & apportioning space for Web-based projects.
- Management & integration of databases.
- Implementing security on the intranet/ extranet.
- Setting up of firewalls & authorization systems.
- Performing periodic backup of data & automating tasks.
- Executing hardware & software updates when necessary.
- For incorporating new & upgrading existing systems.
- Periodic checking & analyzing.
- Implementation of fault tolerant systems.
- For daily FTP uploads.

- Shift and/or off hours work may be required as needed.

- Assists in review and analysis of new and revised system specifications for completeness and

network systems and equipment.
- Provide on call support 24 hours per day, 365 per year. Support may entail phone or physical presence

at the facility for network failure or other disasters. This includes, but is not limited to power supplyfailure, storm or severe weather, and loss personal.
- Assist and take phone calls from affiliates in order to resolve problems.
- Work independently on assignments and report back on progress.
- Write reports on preventative maintenance assignments.
- Install cables and equipment’s; interpret wiring diagrams and drawing used in the design of new

installation.
- Testing and certification of new installations or modifications.
- Attend various departmental and crew staff meetings.

**Qualification**

Associate's Engineering degree in Computer, or B.S.C. in Computer Science
- Five years of experience in the IT System & Network field.
- Prior experience working in high pressured environment delivery consistency with mission critical

assignments.
- Comprehensive industry knowledge of digital and analog video/audio technology and distribution

methods, data networks, servers, distribution systems.
- Ability to change priorities and handle last minute changes.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work alternatively weekends.
- Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills.
- Through knowledge of fiber optics, MPEG, SD, HD, computer networking and other compression

techniques.

**Five year experience in IT and Network.**
