Responsibilities:

- Perform fabrication of steel structures, ducts, vessels, and tanks within an ASME-approved facility bearing S, U, and R stamps.
- Work with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel (SS), alloys, and Hastelloy steel, understanding the unique properties and handling requirements of each.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately measure, cut, shape, assemble, and weld fabricated components according to specifications.
- Operate a range of machinery and tools necessary for the cutting, bending, and welding of metal parts, including but not limited to welding machines, grinders, cutters, and bending machines.
- Conduct quality checks on fabricated items to ensure they meet specifications, dimensions, and quality standards before final inspection.
- Collaborate with quality control, engineers, and project managers to address any issues or adjustments required in the fabrication process.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines specific to working with heavy materials and machinery.
- Keep accurate records of materials used, fabrication times, and any deviations from the original plans to assist in project documentation and inventory management.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Proven experience working as a fabricator, specifically within an ASME-approved facility with knowledge of S, U, and R stamp requirements.
- Strong proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC) and the ability to work with different materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys, and Hastelloy steel.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with ASME standards and regulations related to the fabrication of pressure vessels, tanks, and structural components.
- Excellent manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail in the fabrication process.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to project changes or modifications.

- Supervision of steel fabrication: 3 years (required)
