We are currently looking to add to our team a Logistics and Procurement Officer to work from our Bahrain office. Essential duties will include:
**Procurement/Logistics Administration**
- Executes day-to-day procurement functions such as reviewing contracts, purchase requisitions and processing purchase orders, entering vendor data into the financial system and monitoring and reporting on the status of purchases
- Complies with policies and procedures related to contracts and vendor management
- Identifies and evaluates suppliers, arranges for transportation of purchased goods, identifies and develops strategies for addressing logístical barriers, monitors use of materials and resources, and ensures quality record keeping.

**Subcontracts Administration**:

- Prepares recommended source lists of qualified subcontractors, drawing upon their past performance experience. Coordinates the list with project management and client recommendations.
- Receives subcontractors' responses to requests for proposals, determines each subcontractor's ability to meet Company and project requirements, and negotiates the terms and conditions. Prepares and issues contracts commensurate with delegated procurement authority.
- Prepares subcontract documents and amendments, including identification and inclusion of requirements from the prime contract. Ensures that terms and conditions will be appropriate.
- Prepares reports and contractual correspondence for project management and client. Establishes and maintains accurate tracking records tailored to each subcontract.
- Maintains and updates subcontractors' files to include records of payment.
- Performs subcontract closeout actions, completes file documentation, and forwards subcontract files to storage.
- Serves as liaison between subcontractor and Liberal Construction.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and in teams in a dynamic work environment, and able to prioritize workload to meet inflexible deadlines;
- A skilled writer and communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills to foster and maintain working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders;

**Education**:

- A post-secondary degree or diploma in business, supply chain management or other related fields is required.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience working for a US Government contractor desired.
