Since its inception in 2020, we have facilitated the donation of well over 1 million meals to those in need, as well as donated over $1.5 million to charity with the help of our partners and customers. talabat is part of Delivery Hero, the global leader in online food delivery and q-commerce.

**Role Summary**
Your main role as a Health and Safety Specialist is to work on preventive initiatives for accidents, injuries, and work-related illness as well as improving the riders safety wellbeing in alignment with the regional health and safety Manager.

**What's On Your Plate?**:

- Create riders health & safety Processes and SOPs, and ensure the implementation of these processes in compliance with the law and to achieve set targets.
- Conduct risk assessments. These highlight the areas of potential risk that you must reduce.
- Train suppliers’ trainers on your health and safety procedures. Give proper training on particular risks in the riders area of work, and how they can prevent these.
- Conduct frequent safety inspections and checks in coordination with talabat Patrollers
- Improve riders' accidents reporting. You must ensure that all suppliers and riders are aware of the correct reporting procedure and ensure that they know how to properly report accidents.
- Monitor and improve rider insurance process
- Respond to any safety complaints and concerns raised by Suppliers/Riders. You should investigate their claims and put plans in place to remove the danger.
- Enhance and improve rider Safety and well-being
- Provide talabat Patrollers required safety courses that can impact the fleet safety, including Road Safety awareness, First Aid Training and Food hygiene
- Participate in improving Rider Training Material _(Health & Safety Modules)- Lead a team of coordinators to ensure the data integrity of rider Database

**What Did We Order?**:

- Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels, ranging from riders and operations agents to directors.
- 2-3 years experience in Health and Safety
- Leadership skills
- Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver, who is able to find solutions that are practical and effective
- You are happy working in a fast-paced environment and see changes as opportunities.
- High level of empathy and compassion toward riders, restaurants and customers.
- Confident user of Excel, Google documents, spreadsheets, and smartphone apps
- Fluent in English and in Arabic, Urdu is a plus
