Qs Engineer

**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum five years of experience in projects _related roadworks and infrastructure engineering._
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Previous experience in the gulf countries will be an asset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for calculating the subcontractor and client executed quantity to determine the subcontractor cost and client billing.
- Calculating the Take off quantities of the BOQ for each line items, in addition to the variation orders for the projects to determine the variation order cost.
- Write subcontractors and clients invoices, and coordinate with relevant departments/personnel to obtain or provide the needed data (g. quantity take-offs) for correct and accurate charge of payment amounts and/or for issuing the invoices.
- Support Project Control dep. in quantity surveys (quantity take-offs) for the architectural items of the project (whenever needed).
- Review quantity surveying for subcontractors, and coordinate with relevant personnel for issuing payment invoices, or review, issue, and sign the invoices if auth
- Meet with project s subcontractors to handle any problems or conflicts for smooth flow of work operations.
- Write and submit a report, whenever required, to compare between quantity take-offs of subcontractors and clients to identify any conflicts or inconsistencies; and submit Cost Control department for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Undertake breakdown of Variation Orders (VOs).
- The Job Holder may be required to undertake additional duties, which may be reasonably expected and forms part of the function
- Quantity check of decoration engineering drawings
- Audit the monthly work volume reported by subcontractors (interior decoration)
- Complete monthly project progress payment reporting
- Provide sound advice to reduce project costs
- Project Daily Costs Collection
- Preparation of payment documents
- Material price analysis and price comparison
- Collect and file cost-related documents
- The other tasks arranged by project manager

**Skills & Competencies**
- Familiarity with ISO‐9000 quality control.
- possess good communication skills.
- Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project. Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
- Inspect, test, and sample materials or assembled parts or products for defects and deviations from specifications.
- Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.
