**JOB SUMMARY**:
The food and beverage operations manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department. They oversee the staff and ensure that all operations are running smoothly. They may also be responsible for training and development of staff, as well as budgeting and financial planning. As the food and beverage operations manager gains experience, they may be promoted to a higher position within the organization, such as director of food and beverage operations.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The Operations Manager should oversee the short-and long-term planning for all food and beverage operations in the organization and manage all the outlet managers. The Operations Manager manages front
- and back-of-house operations to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting or exceeding financial goals.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain a high level of food and beverage product knowledge, including current menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, and garnishes
- Train new staff in food safety procedures, proper handling and storage of food and beverage products, and company policies and procedures
- Monitor food and beverage inventory levels and place orders with suppliers as needed to maintain adequate stock levels
- Schedule and oversee all food and beverage service staff shifts, ensuring adequate coverage at all times
- Work closely with the chef and kitchen staff to ensure that all food orders are prepared according to specifications and served in a timely manner
- Ensure that all dining areas are clean and well-maintained at all times, including tables, chairs, floors, and restrooms
- Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Investigate and resolve any incidents of theft or loss
- Prepare and submit accurate food and beverage reports to upper management on a regular basis
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Develop a business plan

- Establish and maintain strategic business partner relationships

- Establish business strategies for the business function
- Facilitate innovation and lead managers to manage change
- Facilitate innovation process within the organization
- Foster business relationships and organizational diversity
- Lead outlet managers to develop organizational and governance strategies
- Manage compliance with food and beverage hygiene policies and procedures
- Oversee revenue and expenditure management
- Oversee and manage the outlets’ Profit and Loss by meeting monthly sales target
- Provide leadership during crisis situations
- Resolve conflicts with stakeholders
- Strategize service operations

**PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- MBA or other advanced degree
- 10+ years’ experience in food and beverage operations management
- Experience with inventory management and cost control
- Familiarity with point of sale (POS) systems, ERP and restaurant management software.
- Professional Certification is a plus.
