Assistant Cook

**Main Objectives**

Participate and assist in timely execution of meal preparation activities as per schedule and ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards with respect to food, equipment, staff hygiene and general upkeep of kitchen area. Ensure availability of raw materials and various equipment required to adhere to production schedule.

**Main Duties**
- Receive inputs on previous shift during handover and from schedule to implement any production related requirements.
- Executes and supervises the preparation and presentation of raw materials and cold meals and ensures that they are produced according to specifications and standards and at the designated time.
- Receive feedback on quality and implement changes if required.
- Ensure HACCP requirements for each section within Kitchen are maintained as per inputs provided.
- Physically coordinate with stores to ensure changes in stock levels are updated and monitored and these are as per requirement. Ensure sufficient buffer stock is available as per volume of operations.
- Prepare for the next shift as per production requirements and provide update on any specific action items.
- Comply with the Company and Airport authorities’ health, safety, and security regulations.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Education**:
Intermediate (9 Years) education followed by 6 months course in industrial cookery.

**Experience**:
1-2 years experience in a similar catering operation.

Experience with large catering establishment / hotel is preferred.
