About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing civil engineering works related to infrastructure projects in the GCC region. This role requires an experienced engineer with extensive knowledge of sewer network construction and infrastructure projects.
- Supervise and manage civil engineering works, including pipeline laying, manhole construction, and micro-tunneling.
- Review and approve construction materials, methods, and method statements.
- Ensure that all construction activities comply with project specifications, standards, and OH&S requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of the works and materials.
- Review and approve shop drawings and other submittals, ensuring compliance with the design.
- Monitor and report on the progress of the works, providing updates to the Project Manager and Ministry representatives.
- Coordinate with contractors, resolving any technical issues that arise during construction.
- Ensure that the project is completed to the highest quality standards and within the agreed timeline.
Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on sewer systems and infrastructure projects. Experience in the GCC region, particularly in Bahrain, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control practices, as well as solid understanding of financial management and resource planning within an engineering consultancy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
