Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain seeks a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead its administrative functions.

Job Description

The Chief Operating Officer shall report directly to the President of the University, serving as a key advisor and overseeing various departments including Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Facilities and Purchasing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic advice and recommendations to the President
  • Supervising staff administrative activities
  • Managing finances, collections, and facilities maintenance
  • Involvement in academic strategic planning
  • Overseeing personnel operations, including recruitment, contracting, termination, training, and induction programs
  • Preparing an annual report on the university's administrative and financial operations
  • Performing other duties assigned by the President

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a PhD recognized by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain and have relevant academic and administrative experience.

  • High professional reputation
  • Good conduct and behavior
  • No convictions for crimes involving moral turpitude or dishonesty
  • No history of dismissal from a job by juridical judgment or disciplinary decision
  • Fitness in terms of health
  • No acts that would harm the reputation of the Kingdom of Bahrain or its interests
