Housekeeping Operations Manager

The Housekeeping Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily management of housekeeping functions and staff to ensure that guest rooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and well-maintained.

This key position involves directing and working with their team to successfully execute all housekeeping operations, focusing on delivering exceptional guest and employee satisfaction while achieving operating goals. The manager is responsible for inspecting areas of responsibility and developing plans to improve results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing Housekeeping Operations: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, including managing staff, scheduling, and inventory control.
  • Conducting Human Resources Activities: Recruiting, training, and developing housekeeping staff, as well as handling employee relations and performance management.
  • Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service: Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hospitality, responding to guest complaints and concerns, and ensuring that all guests receive a positive experience.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field. Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major is also acceptable.
