Job DescriptionAs Director of Housekeeping, you will take ownership of guest rooms, ensuring that our guests are provided with a clean, comfortable space, and be a part of creating a memorable experience for them whilst leading and motivating your team.
What you'll do- Manage the day-to-day operation; leading and supervising a large team of Room Attendants to achieve high standards of cleanliness and luxury.
- Deliver daily briefings with the Room Attendant team, highlighting VIPs and setting daily initiatives.
- Enhance your attention to detail to drive cleanliness and presentation results.
- Develop communication skills and liaise with other hotel departments to ensure smooth service for guests.
- Inspect guest rooms, focusing on providing unique and memorable moments for guests.
- Coach Room Attendants during daily operations, providing feedback to improve work quality.
- Work with the outsourced laundry team to ensure efficient operations.
- Prioritize guest needs, tailoring housekeeping services accordingly.
- Recruit top talent for the housekeeping team.
- Manage payroll costs, budgets, and forecasts.
- Nurture, support, and guide your team for growth and development.
- Ensure all equipment is functional and arrange repairs when needed.
- Oversee the management of lost and found items.
- Experience in a global work environment is essential.
- Pre-opening experience is highly preferred, with understanding of operational and logistical aspects.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting and cost control.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable experiences.
- Knowledge of luxury hospitality trends and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking abilities.
