Regulatory Counsel Role at Binance

About the Role
Assist with a broad range of legal/regulatory matters, including regulatory perimeter assessments, licensing/registration applications, product assessment, and regulatory investigations across the Middle East, with a focus on the UAE and Bahrain.
Provide legal/regulatory support to local and global business teams on product launches and marketing campaigns (including advising on scope and recommended adjustments), draft product terms and ensure compliance with regulatory rules.
Work closely with various operational functions (e.g. Finance, Compliance and product teams) to support and advise on efficient and compliant operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist with regulatory perimeter assessments, licensing/registration applications, product assessment, and regulatory investigations across the Middle East
- Provide legal/regulatory support to local and global business teams on product launches and marketing campaigns
- Draft product terms and ensure compliance with regulatory rules
- Work closely with various operational functions to support and advise on efficient and compliant operations
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer of a common law jurisdiction, with a minimum of 5-7 years post qualification experience
- Interactions with the financial regulatory authorities will be advantageous
- In-house experience gained from relevant industries - Financial Services, Fintech or other Technology Corporations are highly preferred
- Possesses solid legal technical expertise as well as sound business and people judgment sense
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global organization maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations
- Excellent technical drafting skills and attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to provide useful and efficient counsel
