The Project Engineer plays a vital role in the successful execution of engineering projects within the oil and gas sector. This position ensures that all project activities align with technical standards, safety protocols, and performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project objectives and collaborate with management to establish goals and deliverables.
- Identify and manage risks, as well as opportunities for improvement and process optimization.
- Assign responsibilities across project phases and evaluate proposals from contractors.
- Determine project specifications by reviewing product designs, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Develop cost estimates and conduct technical studies to support budgeting and planning.
- Monitor and control project schedules by analyzing plans, calculating time requirements, and sequencing tasks.
- Verify product performance through design validation and testing procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B.Tech).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong understanding of product design, technical analysis, and project cost estimation.
- Skilled in project scheduling, coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
