About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Learning:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials across multiple business management modules, fostering a student-centered approach to education.
  • Design assessments, provide feedback, and support students' academic progression, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and fieldwork, providing guidance and expertise.
  • Identify areas for curriculum enhancement and contribute to course development, ensuring our programs remain relevant and engaging.
  • Act as a personal tutor, offering academic and pastoral support, empowering students to achieve their full potential.
• Research & Scholarly Activity:
  • Conduct high-quality research and contribute to peer-reviewed publications, staying at the forefront of business management knowledge.
  • Secure external research funding and engage in knowledge transfer initiatives, driving innovation and impact.
  • Present findings at conferences and participate in academic collaboration, sharing best practices and expertise.
  • Promote research-led teaching and integrate scholarship into curriculum design, enhancing the learning experience.
• Leadership & Academic Engagement:
  • Lead and manage module or program activities to enhance student learning, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues in teaching and research development, promoting a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
  • Engage in outreach activities to improve student recruitment and experience, showcasing the value of our programs.
  • Collaborate with external organizations, industry stakeholders, and academic partners, building networks and opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A first and second degree in Business or Business Management from a recognized institution, demonstrating your subject expertise.
• A PhD in Business or Business Management (or equivalent professional experience), showcasing your advanced knowledge and skills.
• Extensive experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Higher Education, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality education.
• Proven research capabilities with contributions to academic publications, highlighting your ability to drive innovation and impact.
• Strong mentoring, interpersonal, and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
• Ability to secure external funding and lead research projects, demonstrating your capacity to drive business growth and development.
• Expertise in contemporary business theories, policies, and practice, staying at the forefront of industry trends.
• Knowledge of higher education pedagogy and teaching methodologies, ensuring your approach is informed and effective.
• Experience supervising postgraduate and doctoral-level research, guiding students towards achieving their academic goals.
• Commitment to academic excellence and student success, driven by a passion for teaching, research, and leadership.
