Diving Programme Manager

High-Performance Diving Coach Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated coach to play a pivotal role in the success of our high-performance diving programme.

• Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will oversee daily diving operations, manage and coordinate training plans, track competition results, and lead educational initiatives on anti-doping practices. They will also collaborate with the coaching team to ensure a unified approach to diver development and work closely with sports science providers to integrate performance-enhancing methodologies.

Programme Management & Coaching

• Lead daily training for scholarship athletes and ensure their development meets our high-performance standards.
• Support all activities related to our Development Programme.
• Manage and coordinate the daily training of scholarship divers based in Bahrain.
• Align training plans and periodisation with our competition schedule.
• Track and report competition results of scholarship divers.
• Lead educational initiatives on anti-doping practices for all divers and coaches.
• Manage and collaborate with the coaching team to ensure a unified approach to diver development.
• Ensure all identified athletes have an Annual Performance Plan in accordance with our Development Team guidelines.
• Participate in evaluation reviews of all athletes.
• Work closely with sports science providers to integrate performance-enhancing methodologies specific to diving.
• Provide constructive guidance and feedback to help athletes and coaches develop essential skills.
• Monitor diver well-being and provide weekly feedback on training progress.
• Mentor and create individual development plans for selected coaches, as identified by our Development Team.
• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in diving coaching techniques and methodologies.
• Provide clear guidance to build skills and boost performance.
• Travel internationally when required to support competition or training objectives.
• Adhere to and implement all policies set by our Development Team.

Administrative Support

• Assist the Scholarship Programme Manager in maintaining athlete records, visa documentation, insurance updates, and other administrative tasks related to diving.
• Support the preparation of reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective communication with athletes, coaches, and National Federations by managing correspondence.
• Oversee scheduling of meetings, appointments, and events related to the diving scholarship programme.
• Provide support for additional administrative or operational tasks as needed, ensuring the programme's daily functions run smoothly.
• Support the Programme Manager with budget tracking and financial reporting, including managing invoices and processing payments.
• Act as a backup for the Head Coach in their absence, maintaining continuity in the programme's operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a high-performance diving coach, preferably at an international level.
• Strong understanding of athlete development principles, periodisation, and training methodologies specific to diving.
• Experience working with elite-level divers in a structured development programme.
• Knowledge of anti-doping regulations and a commitment to clean sport education.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire divers and coaches.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.

• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages is strongly recommended.
