Job Description

The Director of Talent and Culture will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the Talent & Culture Department, collaborating with senior leadership to implement the human resources strategy, promoting positive colleague relations through open communication, trust, mutual respect, and fun.

This role involves overseeing the administration of human resource programs, conducting research and analysis of organizational trends, monitoring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation of the Talent & Culture Department
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on implementing the human resources strategy
  • Promote positive colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect, and fun
  • Assist departmental leaders and senior managers in developing specific action plans to address issues and concerns identified in colleague feedback
  • Oversee the administration of human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, leaves, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum of four years' experience in a Human Resources leadership capacity, preferably within the hospitality industry. A university/college degree or diploma is required, and formal education or certification in Human Resources Management is an asset.

You should have proven organizational skills, able to work well on your own initiative and as a team, setting and meeting deadlines with quality results. Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), are also essential.

Strong interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills, both written and oral, are necessary, as well as self-confidence and the ability to communicate easily with all levels of an organization from line colleagues to executives.
