Procurement Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned procurement professional to oversee our supply chain operations. This individual will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the procurement process, ensuring efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors to negotiate favorable terms
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet quality standards and optimize costs
  • Monitor market trends to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities
  • Coordinate customs clearance procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Optimize sea and air freight activities by streamlining routes and reducing transit times
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to track shipments and address any delays or issues
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, procurement, and logistics activities

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the food industry
  • Strong understanding of inbound logistics processes, including customs clearance, sea and air freight
  • Proficiency in data analysis software, such as Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience using MRP systems
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field
