Engineering Division Head
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Division Head to lead our team at Swiss-Belresidences Juffair, Manama Kingdom of Bahrain. As the head of the engineering division, you will be responsible for overseeing all functions of the division, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining current licenses and permits, developing the annual budget and targets, preparing and producing detailed financial reports, using financial management skills to analyze performance results, ensuring departments under your supervision control costs and meet budget goals, providing ongoing communication regarding policies, programs, and procedures, ensuring all operating procedures are properly implemented within your division, reviewing and modifying operating manuals, conducting regular walkthroughs of public areas, back-of-house areas, and guestrooms, overseeing routine testing and maintenance of the hotel's electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire detection, fire prevention, security systems, elevators, and other hotel equipment, overseeing routine maintenance of hotel FF&E, overseeing routine service and chemical maintenance of the hotel swimming pool, overseeing maintenance of the building exterior, prioritizing, troubleshooting, or scheduling work as appropriate for ad hoc maintenance projects, maintaining accurate records of all building system maintenance and routine inspections, working with the Housekeeping Department to develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program, monitoring and evaluating hotel energy and water use to highlight inefficiencies, maintaining an up-to-date file of hotel floor plans, technical drawings, and manuals, overseeing all purchasing, receiving, and inventory practices, reviewing and negotiating tender documents and vendor contracts, staying abreast of industry practices, technological advancements, and new methods, overseeing maintenance tasks of third-party contractors as required, participating in the recruitment process of employees under your supervision, developing and reviewing the succession plan and training programs, conducting regular performance appraisals for managers and supervisors, identifying training opportunities and ensuring objectives are met, and addressing issues with employee misconduct and disciplinary actions. To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Engineering or a related field, proven experience in hotel facilities management, strong leadership and communication skills, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, familiarity with safety protocols and regulations, proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Office and CAD, and the ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Requirements
Degree in Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in hotel facilities management, preferably in a similar role. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively. Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance. Proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Office and CAD. Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks effectively.
