About the Role:

As a PC Refresh Technician at Leidos, you will play a critical role in supporting the U.S. Navy's PC Refresh Initiative. This exciting opportunity is part of the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract, which aims to enhance warfighter capabilities with advanced IT solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Deploy new hardware as a service device, including system imaging, software installation, configuration, and data migration.
  2. Configure systems per baseline image specifications, ensuring all new devices meet required applications, operating systems, and security settings.
  3. Track and manage hardware inventory throughout the refresh lifecycle, documenting asset details, serial numbers, and disposition of old equipment.
  4. Maintain detailed records of the refresh process, including system configurations, user data migration, and inventory tracking, ensuring compliance with established processes and standards.
  5. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues during the refresh process, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime for end users.
  6. Communicate with deployment lead(s), on-site end-user POCs for deployments to schedule and execute system replacements with minimal operation disruptions.
  7. Assist with overall coordination of the EUHWaaS task, ensuring timelines and milestones are met, reporting progress, challenges, and completed tasks to the project lead.
  8. Perform testing of systems pre/post-deployments to ensure they meet operational and security standards.
  9. Support completing refresh activities within the timeframe required by Service Level Requirement (SLR).

Requirements:

  1. Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 2 years related experience, additional experience may be substituted for degree.
  2. Must be a US Citizen and possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  3. Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+, CCNA Security, etc.).
  4. Minimum of one OEM network or OS certification (CCNA, MDAA, MEAA, etc.).
  5. Proficient with Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  6. Strong knowledge of hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  7. Familiarity with imaging and deployment tools (e.g., MECM or similar).
  8. Familiarity with data migration and backup procedures.
  9. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine technical issues efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Knowledge of network configurations and security protocols.
  11. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
