Job Description:

Domo Ventures W.L.L. seeks a highly skilled Yacht & Boat Service Engineer / Mechanic to join its team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in yacht and boat maintenance and repair, with a focus on ensuring optimal performance and safety.

The role involves conducting routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems on yachts and boats, as well as performing inspections and diagnostics to identify issues in engines, propulsion systems, and onboard equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering and maintenance, with excellent technical skills and knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

In addition to their technical expertise, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems on yachts and boats.
  • Perform inspections and diagnostics to identify issues in engines, propulsion systems, and onboard equipment.
  • Assist in the installation of new systems and upgrades as per client specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and regulations during all service activities.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and project timelines.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to service work, including maintenance logs and performance analysis.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with clients regarding technical issues, service updates, and recommendations.
  • Participate in sea trials and vessel commissioning to verify the performance and safety of systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine services, with hands-on experience in yacht and boat maintenance and repair.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in mechanical systems, engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics used in yachts and boats.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations pertaining to marine vessels.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels as needed.
