Job Overview

VIVA Bahrain is seeking a highly experienced and skilled IT professional to lead our IT Infrastructure, digital services, and application development capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the effective day-to-day management of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the IT & Digital segment strategy to drive growth and success in the Technology sector.
  • Guide the preparation and monitoring of the IT & Digital department business plans and objectives.
  • Control expenditure and investigate variances for effective cost management.
  • Monitor departmental performance KPIs and profitability, providing progress updates as needed.
IT & Digital Consumer and Enterprise Enablement Applications:
  • Lead the applications team to deliver optimal business value in a service delivery model.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align and prioritize current and future initiatives in support of business objectives.
  • Collaborate with all IT teams to ensure production applications meet performance, reliability, and quality objectives.
IT Infrastructure:
  • Review and evaluate existing designs within VIVA Bahrain to determine current capability and introduce potential improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of business continuance and disaster recovery plans/processes.
  • Drive research initiatives to remain abreast of regional and international trends in IT Infrastructure services design methods.
People Management:
  • Provide effective leadership across the IT & Digital department by setting individual objectives, reviewing performance, and developing employees.
  • Coordinate team activities to ensure efficient work completion.
  • Approve workforce plan and oversee staff hiring, performance management, and training activities.
Change Management and Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the function's systems, processes, and practices.
  • Research relevant regional and global market trends to stay up to date with best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or any other related field.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Minimum 16 years of multifunctional experience in Technology and Digital function, with at least 10 years in a leadership position at a senior management level.
