Real Estate Expertise:

  • We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team as a Senior Legal Advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering real estate KPIs, including the negotiation of lease contracts and providing risk-advice on dispute resolution and litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver Real Estate KPIs: Negotiate lease contracts, provide risk-advice on dispute resolution and litigation.
  2. Support Business Decisions: Provide strategic legal advice to real estate management, prioritize areas, draft documents in Arabic and English, including lease agreements, fit-out agreements, real estate agreements, settlement and release agreements, waivers, etc.
  3. Research and Present Solutions: Research legal issues in response to internal needs, present in timely, digestible, solution-oriented format.
  4. Litigation Management: Manage all phases of disputes and litigation (with support from central litigation function), general case management.
  5. Team Supervision: Supervise legal work of in-house attorneys and staff of the legal department, coach, mentor the team for KPIs realization in line with Americana culture.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BSc, LLB, or LLM degree in Law
  • MBA is an asset
  • 4+ years of solid experience of practice law firm
  • Experience successfully leading a team of talented legal professionals in the Middle East
  • Experience working on matters of corporate governance and with a board of directors

Required Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of real estate agreements, inc. lease agreements
  • Solid knowledge of real estate customary practices across the MENA
  • Solid knowledge of commercial viewpoint and organizational/operational structures
  • Arabic (preferred)
  • Ownership mindset
  • Proven resources management, people management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven efficiency in dealing with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces.
