Reservations Agent

This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, maximizing rooms revenue and profit through pro-active selling techniques and referral across resort.

Responsibilities include having full and up-to-date knowledge of hotel products and services, ensuring all telephone calls are handled politely and efficiently, ascertaining and accurately meeting the caller's needs using a client-oriented approach.

Key duties include checking arrival reports, handling all reservations through different channels, actively participating in maximizing revenue through up-selling, following up on non-guaranteed and waitlisted bookings, and handling no-shows and cancellations efficiently. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be motivated in cluster sales projects, including FAM trips and client evenings/lunches.

The Reservations Agent will liaise with the management and team to ensure the smooth operation of revenue processes and functions within the individual unit covered, preparing, updating, and filing all correspondence relating to room sales. They will also assist on guest visa inquiries and handle group reservations by communicating with the Events/Sales Department.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in reservations, revenue, or sales departments, good knowledge of Opera PMS, intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office), and a minimum of 1 year's work experience in a luxury hotel. The ideal candidate will be able to handle shift responsibilities in the absence of the reservation coordinator and assist newly joined colleagues on the job duties of a Room Reservations Sales Agent.
