About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Bartender to join our Food and Beverage Team at Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain. The main responsibilities include:
- Identifying and meeting guests' needs, providing exceptional bar services, and recommending beverages to enhance their experience.
- Serving drinks according to defined standards and measures.
- Mixing ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to beverage recipes.
- Processing, registering, and settling all drinks transactions efficiently.
- Setting up the bar area to ensure visually appealing displays and merchandise.
- Performing opening, closing, and cleaning tasks as detailed in checklists.
- Coordinating with stewards to maintain equipment and bar areas in a hygienically clean condition.
- Ensuring sufficient glassware is available and checking expiration dates of perishable garnishes.
- Avoiding responsible serving practices to promote safe consumption in line with group policy and regulatory requirements.
- Developing positive working relationships with colleagues and supporting the team to achieve common goals.
- Providing courteous and efficient responses to guests' inquiries and reporting complaints or problems to Team Leaders if necessary.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- At least 1-2 years of bartending experience, preferably within the international hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails.
- Adaptability and appreciation for cultural diversity.
- A team player with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliability, honesty, and high energy levels.
- The ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
