Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team in quality assurance tests, new product development, and research to support company growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop new products in the field of construction chemicals, including dry mix products and liquid additives.
  • Evaluate new products, process technologies, and business opportunities, and participate in their implementation.
  • Foster focus on developing technologies compliant with international standards like ASTM, EN, and BS.
  • Explore capabilities for back engineering similar products.
  • Design cost-effective design components according to standard procedures.
  • Guide a team in quality assurance tests, new product development, and research to support company growth.
  • Conduct various tests on raw materials according to standard procedures.
  • Conduct trials and obtain third-party approvals.
  • Facilitate collaboration with external laboratories using advanced testing methods (e.g., FTIR, HPLC, TGA).
  • Liaise with government bodies and external laboratories.
  • Maintain a quality control system for all PMC site activities.
  • Prepare quality audits at sites and monitor site inspections and testing.
  • Maintain a leadership position in quality and customer excellence and integrate customer feedback to refine quality control processes.
  • Oversee daily technical aspects, assess, and provide technical support.
  • Enhance customer complaint resolution with proactive on-site technical support when necessary.
  • Conduct project meetings and report on quality issues.
  • Directly supervise a team of relevant discipline engineers.
  • Ensure EPC contractors are responsible for all project activities with the owner.
  • Implement the HSE policy to all projects and staff training.
  • Supervise and monitor production functions.
  • Efficiently utilize available resources.
  • Regularly check plant operations and provide maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
  • Monitor the quality management system in project execution.
  • Making pricing, tendering, cost control, and quotations as per project specifications.
  • Handle the technical department and provide them proper feedback.
  • Enhance quality audits and their implementation in all projects.
  • Optimize company profitability and profit growth by pursuing sound and consistent technical and commercial judgment.
  • Monitor QA-QC activities in the laboratory as per the integrated management system.
  • Set commercial and technical problems as they arise.
  • Regularly monitor raw materials.
  • Align with LIMS for digital traceability (e.g., IMS, ISO system).
  • Prepare mix designs as per project specifications.
  • Discuss technical aspects with consultants, clients, and contractors, and provide feedback.
  • Check parameters regularly to satisfy customers.
  • Address customer complaints and respond with suitable clarifications.
  • Select raw materials and admixtures to ensure customer satisfaction with quality products and services.
  • Maintain documentary records of all activities performed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as per standard test procedures and references.
  • Regularly visit laboratories and discuss various issues.
  • Visit sites to ensure quality control procedures are adopted.
