AML Compliance Specialist

About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AML Compliance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing client due diligence documentation, approving records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Excel and associated tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review client due diligence documentation and approve records as per company policies and procedures.
- Assist in performing AML Compliance quality and testing, evaluating process deficiencies, analyzing control measures, enhancing reporting capabilities, and recommending corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest AML landscape, assess emerging risks, and recommend program enhancements.
- Identify and escalate unusual activity or cases that fail to meet internal guidelines, regulations, and AML laws.
- Support the Head of Compliance in implementing the board-approved compliance program and ensuring company compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in Compliance/AML/Risk function with a financial institution or related field.
- Well-versed with MS Excel and associated analytical tools.
- Ability to focus on details and strong work ethic.
- Professional Certifications - CAMS/ICA Advanced Certification or Diploma or equivalent certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
