We are currently seeking a skilled Chef de Partie - Japanese Cuisine to join our hotel team.


About the Job
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes in their section. They must have a strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culinary functions.
  • The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills and be able to work well under pressure. They must also be able to give clear instructions to their team members and carry out orders from senior chefs efficiently.
  • They will oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, directing cooks in their section to ensure that dishes meet our high standards.
  • Our ideal candidate will enforce strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen and troubleshoot any problems that may arise.
  • They will train junior chefs and other kitchen staff on food preparation, presentation, and safety protocols.
  • They will monitor sanitation practices to ensure employees follow company policies and regulations.
  • They will order or requisition food and supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • They will check the quality and quantity of raw and cooked ingredients to ensure they meet our standards.
  • They will undertake additional duties assigned by senior management.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:


  • A strong background in Japanese cuisine and culinary techniques;
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Strong communication and training skills;
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols;
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with kitchen software;
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
