As our Restaurant Hostess, your responsibilities will include:

  • Warmly greeting guests upon arrival and escorting them to their tables.
  • Managing the restaurant's seating chart and optimizing table utilization.
  • Accurately taking and managing reservations via phone and online platforms.
  • Providing accurate wait times to guests and ensuring their comfort while waiting.
  • Answering phone calls with courtesy and professionalism, providing information about the restaurant, hours, and directions.
  • Presenting menus and informing guests of any specials or promotions.
  • Assisting with light administrative tasks as needed (e.g., organizing menus, taking messages).
  • Maintaining a clean and organized hostess station and waiting area.
  • Collaborating effectively with servers, bussers, and management to ensure smooth service.
  • Addressing guest inquiries and concerns with grace and efficiency.
  • Bidding farewell to departing guests and thanking them for their patronage.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a restaurant hostess or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Basic computer skills for managing reservations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
