Riffa Views International School (RVIS), a fully authorized IB World School, is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of English Department to join our team for the upcoming academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic and instructional leadership for the English Department across MYP and DP programs.

Lead curriculum planning, assessment, and continuous improvement of teaching and learning.

Mentor, support, and develop teachers within the department.

Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that aligns with the school's vision and IB philosophy.

Ensure high standards of student engagement, achievement, and well-being.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in English Literature (Master's preferred).

Teaching Diploma/Teaching Qualification.

Minimum 5 years of proven Middle Leadership experience.

Strong knowledge and experience with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of English Department. The successful candidate will lead the English and Literature department, overseeing curriculum development, teacher training, student assessment, and fostering a love for language arts among our students.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in English/Literature
  • Experience in leadership roles within an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of the IB MYP/ DP curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
