Main Responsibilities
CASH SECURITY
To ensure all cashiers have their own personal user ID numbers & passwords for securities reasons.
Maintain daily cash flow
Daily cash to be handled properly
Taking approval from the store supervisor, duty manager/manager for returns/refunds from customers.
Exchanging money with customers or giving change directly to customers without purchase is prohibited as per the company policy.
Start and end of day procedures, change requirements counter cleaning and arrangement of counter etc.
CHECK OUT
Checking the availability of shopping bags (All sizes)
Spots check to be done twice a day without affecting the customer flow.
Maintain high standards of food safety &hygiene
Packing the items of the customer
To ensure staff are scheduled according to the flow of customers during busy business hours.
Ensure the scanning rate of cashiers is up to the standard level.
Ensure shopping trolleys and baskets are always available for supermarkets customers.
Ensure all customers' complaints are handled or report to the duty manager.
CASH HANDLING
Float and safe checks are done on opening and closing and as per the requirement.
Follow the cash office procedures and policies.
DEBIT/CREDIT TRANSCATIONS
Proper transaction of Debit and credits cards.
Declined transactions are communicated accordingly.
LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Take the necessary actions it case of theft.
Checking the stock availability in a weekly base.
LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Procedure in case of till snatch &stolen report to the duty manager.
Managing the proper stock availability and shrinkage of cigarettes weekly.
