Role Overview

We're looking for a
Senior QA Engineer
who will take ownership of
quality, reliability, and performance
across Local's rapidly evolving platform. You will join a high-energy team of engineers and product managers working at startup speed to ship and scale.

This is not just about catching bugs, it's about
building confidence in every release
, shaping automated frameworks, and ensuring our merchants and customers experience flawless interactions with Local.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the
    end-to-end QA lifecycle
    : design, develop, and execute test strategies across mobile, web, and API.

  • Build and maintain
    automation frameworks
    (UI, API, performance) to keep releases fast and reliable.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure
    quality is baked into the development process
    .

  • Monitor, triage, and drive resolution for defects and production issues.

  • Push for
    process excellence
    , introducing best practices in testing, automation, and CI/CD.

  • Contribute directly to Local's mission by ensuring every merchant and customer has a seamless payment experience.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years in software QA/testing, with at least 2 years in a senior/lead role.

  • Proven experience with
    automation tools
    (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.).

  • Strong hands-on skills in
    API testing
    (Postman, REST Assured, etc.) and CI/CD environments.

  • Experience in high-volume or fintech/payment systems is a strong plus.

  • Deep understanding of Agile and sprint-driven delivery.

  • Strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in a fast-moving startup culture.
