Head of Procurement

Location:
Kingdom of Bahrain

We are seeking a results-driven
Head of Procurement
to lead and execute the overall procurement strategy for our construction projects in Bahrain. The successful candidate will take full ownership of sourcing, vendor management, budgeting, and compliance—while ensuring the procurement team operates with efficiency, transparency, and alignment to the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process for all construction-related materials, services, and equipment.
  • Design and implement effective procurement strategies and policies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships, performance evaluation, and long-term supplier development.
  • Direct contract negotiation and ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate RFPs, bids, and proposals with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Optimize procurement budgets and identify areas for cost reduction without compromising quality.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Work closely with project management, finance, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in
    Supply Chain Management
    , Procurement, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in
    construction procurement
    , preferably in Bahrain or the GCC region.
  • Strong background in contract management, risk mitigation, and supplier negotiations.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage a dynamic, cross-functional team.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
