Trainee Waiter

We are Botanica, a high end cocktail bar & nightlife venue in Adliya.

We are on the look out for aspiring waiters to join our front of house trainee scheme as a runner

We start from the foundations, from a blank page, from the foundations of guest service. We train how to support our experienced team and learn from them in floor service & in bar service - to be an excellent barback & a runner - and then progress to learning the skills of a professional waiter or cocktail bartender in training .

Great opportunity for someone serious about learning to become a real bartender or wait tables at international standards. We have in depth training on both the practical and the theoretical parts of work, learn the skills of waiting on customers and how to offer great hospitality, with cross training across table service on a busy lounge floor and barbacking for one of Bahrain's strongest cocktail bars.

We take our drinks, our service & our people development very seriously. There's regular extra training, required private study and frequent testing - if you are serious about learning about cocktails, bartending & floor service then this is a great career move for the right person, but keep in mind it's also a lot of work and a big commitment.

Application requirements:

• Available in Bahrain with valid visa - unfortunately we can't accept visit visa applications.
• Fluent in english - written and verbal
• Interest in working in nightlife & party atmosphere
• Comfortable working late nights & working with alcohol
• Must has serious commitment to learn, study & grow

Opportunity:

• This is a training position - there will be constant pressure, regular testing and the expectation to learn.
• Start as a trainee - prove that you have the skills to be an excellent barback & runner
• Demonstrate you have what it takes to reach the standard of a junior bartender or junior waiter
• Full package offer is BD275 salary + tips - note that this is a fixed standard rate for the full trainee scheme.
• 48 hours/week, work visa, 2 days off, 30 days leave, 2 year air ticket
• Ongoing training program - gain expert knowledge about service, food & alcoholic drinks.

• Proven experience of work ethic - this is not an office job, requires stamina
