The Senior Vice President – Reinsurance will be responsible for leading the reinsurance division. This is a senior executive role with full accountability for strategy, business development, market expansion, and the leadership of a high-performing reinsurance team. The incumbent will play a critical role in building international relationships, setting long-term goals, and ensuring sustainable growth of the reinsurance portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute the reinsurance growth strategy aligned with the company's vision.
  • Lead origination of large and complex facultative and treaty placements across multiple lines.
  • Develop and maintain strong senior-level relationships with cedents, reinsurers, and retrocessionaires globally.
  • Drive market expansion into international hubs including London, Europe, Bermuda, and Asia.
  • Represent client at global reinsurance events such as Monte Carlo, Baden-Baden, and SIRC.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of producers, ensuring high levels of performance and motivation.
  • Provide strategic insights and regular reports to the CEO and Board.
  • Ensure compliance with CBB regulatory requirements and international market standards.

  • Revenue Growth – Year-on-year increase in premium production and revenue for the reinsurance division.
  • Market Expansion – Establishment of new international market relationships and partnerships.
  • High-Value Portfolio Development – Acquisition of large and complex facultative/treaty placements.
  • Team Leadership – Building, leading, and retaining a high-performing reinsurance team.
  • Brand Representation – Active participation in international reinsurance forums leading to measurable business opportunities.
  • Compliance – Zero compliance breaches and full adherence to CBB and internal governance standards.
