We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Purchasing & Inventory Controller to join our head office team and play a key role in ensuring cost efficiency, smooth supply chain operations, and accurate stock management.
Role Overview
The Purchasing & Inventory Controller will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, managing purchasing operations, and overseeing inventory control across all outlets. The role is vital to reducing costs, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring uninterrupted operations through effective stock management.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and maintain a list of approved suppliers with competitive pricing and quality.
- Negotiate contracts and purchase terms to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Consolidate outlet purchase requests and process approved orders daily.
- Ensure purchases comply with company SOPs and approved supplier lists.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts (daily for perishables, monthly for all items).
- Record and reconcile all stock movements in the inventory system.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Prepare purchasing, supplier performance, and inventory movement reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 2–4 years' experience in F&B purchasing and inventory control.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and inventory software.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
