Job Description

Drive market share and revenue performance through proper pricing and business mix management; develop overall pricing strategy to include all market segments and distribution channels; provide guidance on corporate transient negotiated pricing as well as group pricing; ensure Group Selective Sell Guidelines (Group rates and Sales allowances) are updated regularly, ensuring effective pricing strategies that reflect product positioning and strength relative to the competition in each market.

Produce accurate forecasts on a weekly and monthly basis, by day and segment; distribute forecasts promptly; include a 30/60/90 day forecast with updates on YTD performance and a rolling 12-month forecast; ensure high accuracy in revenue forecasts as per Revenue Management standards.

Effectively manage inventory and pricing strategies across all distribution channels, including the brand website, focusing on lowering distribution costs and driving room nights to the branded web.

Work with ADRM to conduct regular price elasticity tests under various market conditions, measure results, share key learnings, and validate comp set RevPAR forecasts by month to ensure effective calendar planning. Develop and update the Strategic Sales Plan with the Area/Director of Sales.

Review and analyze STR data weekly and monthly with the hotel; closely monitor competitive pricing and understand how relative pricing decisions impact performance.

Chair weekly Revenue Management meetings; clearly communicate strategic vision and objectives to the team on how to drive revenues and improve performance; provide regular updates on hotel performance, including market share, market segment, and channel metrics.

Ensure effective implementation and compliance with company Revenue Management Standards; understand and execute current and new RM tools such as PMS, CRS, third-party extranets, Channel Manager, Rate Shopper, Smith Travel reports, Hotelligence Reports, Channel Reports, and Pace reports.

Contribute to and provide strategic Revenue Management vision during all Area and Corporate Property Reviews and Pricing Meetings.

Recruit, train, and mentor Reservations team and other staff as applicable. Plan and establish Revenue Management systems for new hotel openings.

Assist in preparing the annual revenue budget and support critical revenue cycle initiatives and goals.

Conduct weekly Revenue meetings and monthly owner meetings for both hotels.

Skills
  • Extensive experience with hotel sales/revenue software (Opera, EFast, E-tools, MarRFP, Evo, Marsha, One Yield, Pegasus, etc.).
  • Proficient in computer skills, including advanced Excel (Microsoft Certified) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Accountant certification from KIT Education Center.
  • Excellent academic background, including a degree from an American university in Cairo.
