As part of our growth in the oncology portfolio, we are looking for a dynamic Product Specialist to promote and support oncology products, with a strong focus on major governmental hospitals across Bahrain.

Position Summary

The Product Specialist – Oncology will be responsible for driving the sales, awareness, and education of our oncology product portfolio among healthcare professionals (HCPs) in Bahrain, with an emphasis on government hospitals. The role requires strong scientific knowledge, effective communication, and a proven ability to build trusted relationships with key decision-makers in the oncology field.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote oncology products to oncologists, pharmacists, procurement officers, and other HCPs in major governmental and private hospitals in Bahrain.
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), oncologists, and hospital decision-makers.
• Conduct scientific detailing sessions, in-service training, and educational meetings to ensure appropriate product knowledge and use.
• Plan and execute hospital visits, sales calls, and follow-ups in line with company strategy.
• Achieve sales targets, market share goals, and other agreed KPIs.
• Identify and pursue business opportunities within the government healthcare sector, including tenders and formulary inclusion processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, regulatory, supply chain) to ensure smooth execution of commercial plans.
• Monitor and report competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems or sales reporting tools.
• Participate in company meetings, training sessions, and conferences as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, or a related field (mandatory).
• Minimum 1–3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably with oncology or hospital specialty products.
• Previous experience dealing with governmental hospitals in Bahrain is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of oncology therapy area and the hospital procurement environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Valid Bahrain driving license and willingness to travel locally.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Number of hospital visits and HCP interactions (as per call plan).
• Formulary listings or approvals obtained.
• Success in tenders or institutional contracts.
• Customer satisfaction and relationship quality (as assessed by feedback or management review).
• Accurate and timely reporting of field activities.
• Contribution to market intelligence (competitor tracking and insight sharing).
