Job Function OverviewThe role of a Telemarketing Agent involves the following responsibilities:
- Utilizing cold calling techniques to contact prospects.
- Persuading potential customers to purchase products or services.
- Generating referrals and leads through various lead generation activities.
- Collecting data, converting it into qualified leads, and conducting sales calls.
- Selling products via telephone to serve customers.
- Soliciting sales from individuals over the phone.
- Recommending product, service, and policy changes based on evaluation of results and market developments.
- Resolving customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, and reporting to management.
- Maintaining professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
- Conducting client or market surveys and documenting sales or service details.
- Delivering sales pitches from scripts to persuade customers.
- Explaining products, services, prices, and answering customer questions.
- Maintaining records of contacts, accounts, and orders in the company system.
- Gathering customer information and entering orders into the computer system.
- Identifying potential customers through referrals, cold calling, and other legal means.
- Supporting the line manager with assigned tasks as needed.
- Minimum of a high school diploma; higher education or experience preferred.
- Strong communication and selling skills.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good understanding of services offered.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Persuasive and attentive listening skills.
Normal working hours are 40 hours per week, with possible rotating shifts, including occasional weekends and evenings.
