RESPONSIBILITIES
- Special focus in Financial Services, Capital Markets, Islamic Finance, Risk & Compliance and Sustainable Finance
- Event projects may include large scale conferences, roundtables, and workshops; both physical and virtual in nature.
- Development, production, and delivery of projects from proposal right up to delivery.
- Communicating, and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project.
- Communicating, maintaining, and developing client relationships.
- Developing event themes, key messages, concept notes, agendas, and session briefs, in line with client objectives.
- Researching and suggesting suitable speakers and managing the speaker onboarding and briefing process.
- Supporting the development of sponsorship packages, identifying benefits and costs for sponsors, and managing the onboarding of sponsors.
- Managing development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials.
- Preparing written materials including marketing copy, business communications, reports, and presentation scripts.
- Analysing marketing and communications programs and make recommendations to adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
- Required to coordinate closely with internal teams.
- Team player, with a flexible attitude and approach.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Good critical thinking, questioning, and listening skills; excellent attention to detail.
- Time management skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, while completing work within allocated time frames.
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiar with social media best practices

PROFESSIONAL AND ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s Degree holder in Marketing and communication or Business administration.
- Advanced degree may be preferred.
- Strong communications skills in English (Arabic is a plus) including proven record of developing written material.
- Financial background is a plus
- Minimum 2-3years’ experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Work experience in the Islamic finance industry is preferable
