**Description**
**The Defense Group of Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to support efforts for the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract located in Manama, Bahrain.
NGEN-R SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy; inclusive of cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.

**Job duties**
- Lead the project team in determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans.
- Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project.
- Develop project control and reporting procedures and manage changes as needed.
- Undertake status review meetings among project team members and clients.- Ensure adherence to legally binding requirements.
- Control project requirements, scope, and change management issues.
- Analyze needs and recommend appropriate planning concepts and tools to be used for all facets of planning, scheduling, and tracking projects.
- Analyze project progress/costs and facilitates the development of recommended alternatives.
- Create communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders.
- Advise senior management on project management capability and risk.
- Maintain awareness on emerging technologies and project management techniques.
- Develop and manage a collaborative work environment, working with personnel to ensure that comprehensive knowledge transfer activities associated with job functions and daily tasks are successfully conducted
- Identify and document skill enhancements/training needed based upon observation of actual performance versus documented site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Must be a U. S. citizen with 4-8+ years of progressively responsible experience managing and/or executing the planning, provisioning, and delivery of IT projects.
- Bachelors Degree in in engineering, computer science, business management, or other related field.
- PMP certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire required
- Teamwork-oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Results-oriented with strong people and time management skills, highly organized, motivated and driven to succeed.
- Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations, including schedule management.
- Written and oral communication skills are required with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.-
- Currently possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- PMP Certification.
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundations Certification
- Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+, CCNA Security, etc.)
- OS certification (MTA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, etc.)
- Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of networking technologies and data centers
- Experience with change management; with the ability to implement processes, while addressing political considerations
- Working experience in government contracting, particularly related to financial aspects and standard business practices (e.g., familiarity with and ability to interpret statements of work, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, etc.).
