Parts Technician- Buyer

**Scope**:
Initiate purchasing requests made by departments. Contact vendors, request materials and follow-up to ensure delivery date, shipment tracking, PM parts order with coordination of the plant lead/Operations lead/internal customers.

**Principle duties and responsabilities**:
Administer inventory including and not limited to min/max controls, stocking methods, parts ordering, price reviews, audits, parts selection
Negotiate best local and international vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on the specific budget and schedule requirements, including and not limited to Ariel, Waukesha and Caterpillar
Use SAP and vendors webpages to manage parts ordering and access inventories
Review freight bills, Open PO reports, in transit report, and maintain inventory turns
Participate in an effective cost improvement and savings program for purchased materials and services
Pursue target costs with suppliers in an aggressive manner
Maintain the integrity of purchasing data on the computer based planning system
Check stocks and follow up on the monthly cycle counts
Conduct inventory audits for all sites/locations
Train other supply chain team members as required
Plan material order for upcoming PM for all sites
Coordinate with responsible person on the requirements
Handle related work orders and parts orders on a timely fashion
Post the inventory usage for all sites ,O&M requirement, Sales order creation for the customer, Quote to the customers
Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, Code of Business Conduct and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines
Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager

**Job specifications**:
Business, Technical Or Engineering degree and minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of English both written and spoken
Strong knowledge of PC tools as, and not limited to, Microsoft office word and excel
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to meet the work load, schedules and attend calls
Proficiency using inventory system, SAP preferred
Familiar with SIS or Wedlink
Experience with ordering Caterpillar and Waukesha parts (minimum 3 years). Familiar with engine and compressor components
Able to work under pressure. Able to develop improved work processes for the department
Motivated, organized, strong problem-solving skills, positive and respectful

**Working conditions**:
75% sitting and fingering. Long working hours and pressure. 25% Lifting and walking. Available on call
Visits to remote sites. High temperature, humidity, vibration and noise
