**Position Title**: Operations Supervisor

**Job Summary**: The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the wood factory to ensure efficient production, quality control, safety, and adherence to company standards. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing production schedules, supervising staff, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Production Management**:

- Supervise daily production activities to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow as needed to meet deadlines.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- **Staff Supervision**:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production workers.
- Schedule shifts and manage time-off requests.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and resolve any quality issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement quality improvement measures.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- **Inventory and Supply Chain Management**:

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies.
- Manage inventory control systems and minimize waste.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
- Lead projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.
- **Reporting and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular reports.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or wood production environment.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficient in using manufacturing software and ERP systems; knowledge of wood manufacturing processes and machinery.
- **Leadership Skills**: Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to motivate and develop staff.
- **Problem-Solving**: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- **Communication**: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- **Attention to Detail**: Keen attention to detail to ensure high-quality standards.
- **Safety Awareness**: Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety practices and regulations.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a factory environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
