We are seeking a highly skilled New Parent Home Visitor Coordinator to join our team at RESO. As a critical member of our Fleet and Family Support Programs (FFSPs), you will play a vital role in assessing and supporting families to reduce child abuse risk, offering parenting education, and connecting families to essential community resources.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for maternal/child health, child development, and family support. You will be responsible for providing home visiting services to expectant parents and families with children under three years of age, using the Nurturing Parenting Program for at-risk families. Your expertise in child development, maternal/child health, and family dynamics will enable you to identify family needs and risks, and provide timely and effective referrals to services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home visits to assess and support families with children under age 3.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address family needs and risks.
- Collaborate with other support agencies, healthcare providers, and military personnel to provide integrated care.
- Document all services and interactions in the FFSMIS NPS Case Management System.
- Participate in emergency preparedness exercises and implement emergency response plans as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or nursing (or equivalent experience in related fields).
- Minimum of three years of experience in maternal/child health, child development, social work, or public health.
- Nurses must maintain current state licensure or certification.
- Experience working with families, particularly those with young children, in a case management or health services role.
