Gulf Air Group is seeking a seasoned Information Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security department, you will play a vital role in implementing and maintaining our Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with local laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head of Information Security in defining and implementing information security governance documentation, including policies, manuals, SOPs, and guidelines. You will also assist in conducting risk-based assessments of information security policies and operating procedures owned by other departments within the group against industry-recognized security standards and best practices.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Information Security in defining and implementing information security governance documentation
  • Conduct risk-based assessments of information security policies and operating procedures
  • Support the Head of Information Security in conducting analysis of security requirements and controls to identify gaps and provide recommendations
  • Develop and maintain an information register and ensure that the information is classified by data owners and protected in accordance with the information classification framework
  • Conduct awareness sessions on information security policies and global trends
  • Support in defining information security requirements in information systems, projects, and third parties
  • Support in conducting incident investigations for information security incidents
  • Support in defining information security requirements to be included in ICT Disaster Recovery plans
  • Support in conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with best practices and local regulations
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
  • Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) certification (Preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in Information Security
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel across the organization
  • Strong formal presentation abilities
