At the Independent Food Company, we are driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together. As a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella, we are currently hiring for several experienced Culinary Operations Leaders to lead our entire culinary operation across various restaurants in Bahrain.

This role is responsible for planning, organization, training, and leadership of all Back of House (BOH) operations. You will work collaboratively with sous chefs and head chefs to ensure successful running of our restaurants.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen Setup and Preparation: Ensure the kitchen is set up prior to opening and prepare all necessary ingredients and equipment.
  • Cooking and Plating: Cook specific portions of each plated meal and plate food creatively to maximise customer enjoyment.
  • Team Management: Assist with marinating, cutting, and precooking foods while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Shift End Procedures: Clean the kitchen, clean and sanitise your area with warm water and soap, and wrap unused items for proper storage.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and qualification from a culinary school.
  • Experience: Past experience working in a similar role is essential.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent listening and communication skills, ability to work well in a team, multitasking and organisational ability, and passion for delivering great food and service.
  • Availability: Must be available to work shifts during weekends and holidays.
